Born September 16, 1958, in Augusta, Georgia, Vivian George was the first daughter and third child of Zillie Mae Beasley and Julius Dorsey, Sr.
Family was extremely important to her, and she absolutely adored being the sister of the late Julius "Boot" Dorsey, Jr., George Kelly Dorsey, Gregory Lee Dorsey, and Geraldine Dorsey Brown.
Vivian would later meet and marry Harrison George – and though they ultimately went their separate ways, their union produced four beautiful daughters: Shakneeka Gilbert, Tequila George, Corethia George, and Chiquita George.
The later years of Vivian’s life were joyously shared with her loving partner, Robert Lee Brooks, Jr.
She devoted much of her time to being a doting and devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren: Derrion, NaiTron, Johnny, II, Skyla, Asiah, De'Toruse, Ca'Toruse, and Ava.
On June 7, 2023, God chose Vivian to join His Heavenly Host. Let us always remember the light she brought to our lives as we celebrate the wonderful woman that she was.
