Scott Mason Salmon, 59, of Alpharetta, passed away on May 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with renal cell carcinoma.
Scott was born in Rota, Spain, while his family was stationed there with the Navy. After several duty stations, his family settled in Longwood, Florida, where Scott attended Lake Brantley High School and built many lifelong friendships.
After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy where he proudly played Air Force football, Scott went on to serve as an F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot in the United States Air Force. He carried immense pride in his military service and especially cherished his years at the Academy and the brotherhood forged through football and military life.
Scott then transitioned into the business world, where he worked in acquisitions and leadership roles with Oldcastle and SiteOne Landscape Supply. Scott thrived professionally and deeply valued the friendships and relationships he built throughout his career. Coworkers and friends consistently described him as smart, strong, dedicated, trustworthy, selfless and fiercely loyal.
Above all else, Scott loved his family and friends. Whether listening to music, working out, traveling, or simply spending time together, he found joy in shared experiences and making people laugh. His family remembers him as genuine, humble, kind, devoted, and effortlessly hilarious — someone who made every room lighter the moment he entered it.
Scott is survived by his wife of 35 years, Arlene; his children, Ryan, Kendall, and Mason; his parents, Tom and Bev Salmon; and his sister, Shari Kulkis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Atlanta Athletic Club on May 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
Rather than flowers or donations, the family hopes you will join us in honoring Scott by sharing in fellowship, laughter, and remembrance.
