Alan Jay Hendricks, 67, passed away peacefully at home in Loganville on February 1, 2026.
Jay was born July 27, 1958 to Arlon Wallace “Bud” and Wynell Hendricks (neé Higgins) in San Francisco while Bud was serving in the U.S. Army. He is the oldest of four children, all of whom he is survived by: Gordon Lee “Butch” Hendricks, Norma Jean Pierson and Elizabeth Jane Plunkett.
Although he had no children of his own, he entertained many nieces and nephews over the years with his fun uncle antics, including Renee, Laura, Matthew, Eric, Ryan and Emma, plus great-niece Alyssa, Skylar Haven and great-nephews Tucker, Everett, Jaxson and Riggs.
Jay graduated from Jonesboro High School class of ‘76 and went on to become an electrician. He was a drummer and loved to play music with friends.
Jay was called home to be with his savior following a cancer diagnosis. Please leave thoughts or sympathies for his family below.
